Bio
Ladouce is a multidisciplinary artist based in Nairobi, Kenya, specializing in printmaking, illustration, and original canvas works. Coming from an established background in calligraphy and origami, she began her creative journey in 2012 as a self-taught artist, competitively landing her first creative job at just 14 years old at a calligraphy company. She has been actively developing her practice ever since. She views art as a language accessible to all.
In her daily practice, she credits meditation, the outdoors, and mindfulness as essential elements that keep her creative discipline on track. By providing her with additional mental space, these daily rituals nurture her ability to focus more deeply during her creative process. With an eye on the future, her ambition is to evolve her practice by creating new collections of works for exhibition in Nairobi and internationally, as well as collaborating with other like-minded artists and brands.
She is currently the co-founder and lead artist of The Art Cartë and a member of the renowned Milan Art Club. Most recently, she won the Mellow Art Award 2020 special prize. Other accolades include first place in the first Emax Kenya 2020 entrepreneurial competition and setting the record for the highest participant score since Emax Norway's inception, through her company, The Art Cartë.
Return policy
You can return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay return shipping if the return is the result of an error on our part (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of your package being delivered to the return sender, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
This period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the sender (5-10 business days), the time it takes for us to process your return once we receive it (3-5 business days), and the time needed for your bank to process our reimbursement request (5 to 10 working days).
If you need to return an item, simply log into your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link in the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We will notify you by email of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
Delivery
We can ship to virtually any address worldwide. Note that there are restrictions on certain products and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that shipping rates for many items we sell are based on weight. The weight of such an item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the nearest full pound.
