The Author
Issa Rae rose to prominence with the series Insecure, which she directed and starred in, and which subtly portrays the daily life of a Black woman in her thirties in the United States. Time named her one of the 100 most influential people of 2018. Written a few years earlier, this book laid the groundwork for her work.
Return policy
You can return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay return shipping if the return is the result of an error on our part (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of your package being delivered to the return sender, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
This period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the sender (5-10 business days), the time it takes for us to process your return once we receive it (3-5 business days), and the time needed for your bank to process our reimbursement request (5 to 10 working days).
If you need to return an item, simply log into your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link in the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We will notify you by email of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
