"For centuries, the art world has been seen through the eyes of only a few, to whom the choice of aesthetics and narration fell. Subjected to a patriarchal society, their main representation of the sacred female body was an objectified and sexualized woman.
Delphine Diallo wants to change this dynamic. She wants every woman she photographs to receive the image she has made of her as a personal gift. "I don't take photographs, I give photographs," she likes to say. By engaging in intimate conversations with these women, Delphine spares them the feeling of vulnerability often felt when being photographed. Working with body painters and jewelers, she solicits traditional mythology and spiritual symbols to enhance her subjects. Her portraiture art is based on connection and exchange. Considering women as profound beings, she communicates with them on an emotional level. It is no coincidence that the Franco-Senegalese artist spends more time talking with her subjects than photographing them."

Return policy
You can return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay return shipping if the return is the result of an error on our part (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of your package being delivered to the return sender, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
This period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the sender (5-10 business days), the time it takes for us to process your return once we receive it (3-5 business days), and the time needed for your bank to process our reimbursement request (5 to 10 working days).
If you need to return an item, simply log into your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link in the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We will notify you by email of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
Delivery
We can ship to virtually any address worldwide. Note that there are restrictions on certain products and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that shipping rates for many items we sell are based on weight. The weight of such an item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the nearest full pound.
